Another Thanksgiving spent in Moab, Utah. These photos and Youtube video are from November 2023. I love this place, and Thanksgiving is such a great time of the year to explore it.
This was the first trip after I installed 600 watts of solar panels on the roof and re-did the entire electrical system. It worked flawlessly! We probably don’t need to bring a generator any longer.
We met up with a few old friends, Amy, Lee, and Lee’s daughter, Eliana, halfway through the trip. They were out for an off-roading Jeep trip with Lee’s brother, and we met up with them for dinner in town the night they arrived. Then, we hosted them for dinner at the campsite the next night. As you can see, we camped at our favorite, the Horsethief BLM campground.
I was able to convince Meg to let me take the Tundra (and family) down Long Canyon Road from up near Deadhorse Point down to the Colorado River. Check out the awesome boulder we drove under!
Mountain biking at the Horsethief trail complex for an afternoon..
